The Senate Select Committee on Superannuation and Financial Services will be holding a Public Hearing in Melbourne on matters relating to superannuation and financial services. The Committee is inquiring into:
  1. prudential supervision and consumer protection for superannuation, banking and financial services;
  2. the opportunities and constraints for Australia to become a centre for the provision of global financial services; and
  3. enforcement of the Superannuation Guarantee Charge.
This hearing will concentrate on issues relating to (a) and (b). The program for the Committee’s hearing is attached. The venue for the hearing is as follows:
